Purpose of Establishing Safety & Health Committee

  1. Create a platform for collaboration between employers and employees to improve the level of safety and health in the workplace.
  2. A mechanism for two-way communication between employers and employees in disseminating information related to safety and health.
  3. Meet the requirements of section 30, Occupational Safety and Health Act.

Committee Responsibilities

Structure the Main Safety and Health Committee
    1. Chairing JKK meetings.
    2. Ensuring the implementation and compliance of the PPE at the University/ PTj is carried out effectively.
    3. Develop programs and plans for the purpose of improving compliance with the Ministry of Health.
    4. Ensure that all staff and students receive training related to KKP.
    5. Appoint JKK members who are responsible for managing matters related to KKP.
    6. Ensure the function of the committee complies with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) 1996.
    1. Concurrently with PTj level KKP Manager.
    2. Attend JKK meetings if the employer's representative is unable to attend.
    3. Chairing the JKK meeting if the JKK Chairman is unable to attend.
    4. Responsible for the coordination of JKK meetings at the Master/PTj level.
    5. Collecting and coordinating reports of the Master/ PTj-level PPE.
    6. Record, prepare and distribute JKK meeting minutes.
    7. Ensure JKK meetings run smoothly.
    8. Evaluate and update the performance of compliance with the KKP.
    9. Acting as the JKK safety and health coordinator at Master/ PTj level.
    10. Planning and managing the objectives and programs for Master's level JKK/ PTj.
    11. Planning and managing competency training for JKK at Induk/ PTj level.
