DURING FLOODS

Know more about safety measures during a flood.

When a flood happens:

  • Never touch any electrical appliances or switches with wet hands.
  • Be careful when handling any appliances that have been submerged in water. Get them inspected and tested by certified electrical contractors reuse.
  • Turn off the main switch before you move to an evacuation center.

When flooding occurs, electrical wires and poles may be exposed to hazards such as fallen trees. In this situation:

  • Do not approach or touch any snapped electrical wires as they may still conduct electricity.
  • Keep an eye on your children.
  • Do not repair any damage yourself. Contact the nearest TNB office or call TNB careline at 15454. Remember, TNB is in charge of  overhead cables, feeder pillars, sub stations and underground cables, and will repair or replace them if damaged.
