Standard ISO/IEC 17025 sets the requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. This standard is being used as main requirement for laboratory accreditation and is recognized worldwide. Accreditation has been the way for testing and calibration laboratories to demonstrate that they are competent in carrying out tasks subjected to the scrutinity of accreditation body. The course is designed to give participants a broad understanding of the laboratory's accreditation standard ISO/IC 17025:2017 and requirements in Structural, Process, Resources,Management and Technical parts. Some of the items covered:

• Scope ,process, benefit and accreditation system in practice.
• Overall requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 : 2017.
• Requirements for ISO/IC 17025's Laboratory Management System development.
• Towards accreditation : Process & preparation requirements.

To meet with accreditation body,DSM's requirements as well ,the training will also integrate and address understanding & implementation of the related SAMM's (Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia).
